Our Wedding, Part Two

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]When I left you in part one, guests were filing out from the cathedral, while my bridesmaids attempted to bustle my dress. Outside the church awaited drummers and dancers in white, part of the traditional wedding recessional in Cartagena.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="1804" img_size="full" alignment="center"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="1806" img_size="full" alignment="center"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I love curating joy. I had been so excited about the surprises of the weekend, such as this parade awaiting the guests. But it turned out to be a surprise for me, as I had never

Our Wedding, Part One

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our wedding day began before anyone else was awake but the birds. Jeremy padded up to our private rooftop with coffee to finish his vows. I welcomed in a hair stylist who couldn’t speak English, then creatively called the front desk for a bellhop to please translate while we smiled politely at one another in silence. I was soon joined by just my sister, mom and her best friend of 45-years who together steamed my dress.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="1746" img_size="full" alignment="center"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image

City Guide: A Wedding Holiday in Cartagena

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]My dream is all my favorite people in one place for a few days. Those were the most memorable weddings I had attended. Ones where you left with sweet memories whether inner-tubing down the Vermont River, a turkey shoot on Thanksgiving Day in Alabama, or seven friends in an AirBnB in Spain. On Thursday when guests arrived I sat staring at the front door for an hour so excited for it to open with my family. Soon their best friends

City Love at First Sight

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Darling, if you have never been properly introduced to Cartagena, Colombia let me tell you about the city we got married in that we had never visited![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="1725" img_size="full" alignment="center"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="1724" img_size="full"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]First, while we never intended to post this, I’m sharing the home-VHS-tape-esq video we texted to our friends and family to invite them to save the date for our destination adventure. I shared in my “why we eloped” post that I always dreamed of being a winter

Our French Elopement, Part Two

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After our ceremony in Chateauneuf-Villevieille we headed down the mountain to Villefranche-sur-Mer. This was one of the two alone times Jeremy and I had throughout the day, and all I can remember is that I wanted to lay my head back or on his shoulder, but couldn't do either because of my hair and the boning in my dress. Ha. He took a hilarious selfie (I'll share on Instagram with some other BTS snaps) with my arm propped up on

Our French Elopement, Part One

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Monday September 10th, 2018 I awoke very early in the morning in Nice, France, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea to marry my handsome Jeremy. Just four days after we surprised six friends with where in the world we're flying to, and that it wasn't for a bachelor trip but an elopement. Followed by a delightful few days of touring the South of France, one of my favorite regions in the world, together. Our secret wedding day was here![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="1388"

Touring The South Of France

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] After revealing to our friends that we were headed to the South of France, surprising them that we are eloping and picking up the bridesmaids dresses, we were headed for JFK! I was a little concerned about getting my quite large Kleinfeld’s dress bag onto the plane in the garment closet vs the overhead bin, so I bought an $8 veil on Amazon and a Groom hat in hopes people would be nice to us. It worked! Yes, you have

How We Pulled Off A Surprise Wedding

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We FaceTimed six friends and told them, “We have this crazy too-good-to-be-true thing. A brand reached out to partner together, and what we came up with is we each get to bring three friends on an all expenses paid Bachelor/Bachelorette trip. The hook I pitched them is that you guys don’t know where we’re going. So I’ll give you a packing list, and the day we leave there’ll be a photographer and videographer there, and you guys will find out where

The Courthouse Bride Wore Chanel

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The first step in eloping overseas, was to get legally married. It's possible abroad, but not worth the hassle. We thought we would feel married after our personal vows; that the courthouse ceremony would just feel like another step in getting our marriage license, which it did. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image="1251" img_size="full" alignment="center"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Of course I get emotional at everything, so I was crying just getting our marriage license! I felt so moved waiting in line realizing we were surrounded exclusively by people there

The One Thing I Did to 10X Profit in my 7-Figure Business in the Last 6 Months

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Making a dream happen always begins with a leap of faith. Seven years ago, outfitted in my sports-cocktail-waitressing uniform (XL polyester polo shirt and orthopedic shoes) I hit publish on my first blog post. Declaring I would never again work a job that made me feel so small and uninspired. First of all, it’s hard to imagine seven years in the future, right? I absolutely never dreamed that I would go on to build a business as big as I
