Florals & Color & Happy Spring Style

Happy Easter bettys!

It's April first & utterly freezing in Cambridge! But it's up a few degrees from last week so I'm bundling up & making my first excursion into town on my bicycle. Last time I rode a bicycle? One year. Times I've riden wearing a puffy coat? Zero. Times I've ridden on the "wrong" side of the road? Zero. Wish me luck.

Before leaving Brooklyn there was this one marvelously glorious "spring is here!" day {& then it promptly snowed the next week}. I fare better than most in the winter enjoying snow, my layered wardrobe & hot mulled wine. But dear goodness I am ready for spring. So today's post has no "style lesson", just a plea: Please celebrate the sunshine when it comes with as much unabasedly fabulous color as possible! After all, don't these photos just make you feel happy?!

Alright one style tip: Jewel tones. They're the key to wearing 2, 3 even 4 bright colors like this. Royal, magenta, plum, marigold, poppy. Primary colors = Punky Brewster. Pastels = Easter eggs. Jewel tones = rich & sophisticated.

What are you most looking forward to about spring? Daydream with me. The picnics, the tan, the iced coffee without gloves on?
