Simple New Year's Eve Style

I'm in the midst of the most magical, snowy, friends filled holiday break with lots of reading, curling up, being quiet plus lots of laughter. But I wanted to pop into the blog to give you a bit of inspiration if you're feeling unsure of what don come New Years Eve. How about a top and skirt?

Dresses are an easy go to, but if you don't have one you're loving the idea of right now, look to a fancier top and bottom you might dress down most of the year that you could pair together. Then give yourself an updo and bright lips to add some extra zing.

Oh and if you're ever nervous a skirt might be a tad on the short side, thick tights are your best friend. Especially if you're going to be on the dance floor doing some "Like the ceiling can't hold us ..." dance moves. And let's be honest, who is NOT going to be doing that in two days? {I heart Macklemore.}

My wish for you in 2014 m'dear is the knowledge to take more educated risk, the confidence to dress more worthy of remark, the ease of knowing your go-to style on simple days and the joy that comes from knowing you look like a million bucks anytime you want.

This year is going to be the year we all shine a little brighter, I can just feel it ...
