What to Wear to the White House

Well, not THAT White House, but our White House, or rather our President's Day Soiree here at Dean Street this Saturday. {If you haven't received the email invite & live in the area, drop me an email!}

Here on Dean Street we're known for a theme costume party. In our first year we threw 4 {you can see Mad Men Holiday here & here}! And then I started a business ... & here we are a year later finally welcoming the Brooklyn crew for another sartorially witty evening. This time, paying homage to my love of Presidential & US history, the West Wing, & any excuse to dress like Jackie Kennedy ... with "Presidents, First Ladies, & Figures of Political Importance {or Historical Footnotes}".

Unsure of what to wear? We've created a Pinterest board to get your creative juices flowing. And if you really need a stylists help, ya'll know I'm only a photo text away. :) Just think of anyone throughout history who might have been invited {or crashed} a White House State Dinner. We're a fan of beg, borrow, steal or remix from your wardrobe, so try to spend zero to $10!

Do you live in the NYC area? If so, you're invited! Yes, you! Just drop a note to Hilary@DeanStreetSociety.com & we'll add you to the invite. And if you're far away, know you'll be missed & I can't wait to share the photos here on the blog to help inspire your own party.

See you on Saturday!

with grace & gumption, Hilary {aka First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy}
