Over the holidays I was at JFK airport, flipping through the magazines when I came upon this article in InStyle on the 5 must have pieces for your wardrobe. This type of article makes frequent appearances in all sorts of style magazines in the form of 5, 10 or 50 "must have" "key pieces" "every woman should own" clothes for your wardrobe. Why? Because it's easy. For both the journalist & the reader. It's bite size, pocket-able, a quick read. And it conveys that it's so simple, easy breezy, anyone can do it in a flash. But, in my humble opinion, style is not one style fits all, & I don't actually believe these articles help us unless we get a little brainy on our end & ask our own questions. See what I mean in this week's video:
So tell me about you. Am I way off base? Do you disagree? Which of these 5 pieces did you realize you really might want to add to your wardrobe in 2012? Which ones don't work for your real daily life & why?
