southern sensibility & sweet home delta gamma

Home from Oxford, Mississippi & my annual Father-Daughter-Football-Weekend with Dad. We're both huge college football fans & pick a different city to meet up in & catch a game. As for what to wear, I go for the school colors & do some tailgating photo research to see what the dress code is like.

{left} 2009: UT Austin is sporty & our friends were sweet to buy me my favorite QBs jersey in a girl size to wear with cuffed jeans.

{right} 2010: Clemson is bright orange so the JCrew cardigan I already owned dictated the rest. Also, I love wearing strapless so I don't get tan lines!

2011: This year I was told Ole Miss is bow ties & full-skirted dresses & I was not disappointed! I had this Anthropologie dress in my closet & was please as pie that it was perfect {please note matching flags behind me ... perfect}.

Oxford's little town square is filled with lovely color & charming style. There's a handful of cute boutiques for women {I bought a chunky gold watch that was on my Wish List} & a store for men that sold oodles of bow ties AND had football playing on TVs throughout the shop: Heaven.

Plus I got to celebrate my Delta Gamma roots in the town my sorority was founded in back in 1873.

Do you have pictures of your tailgaiting attire? I'd love to see them if you leave a link in the comments!

P.S. Any other fellow DGs out there?
